Tannenberg

This is not a LARP event but an interesting event nonetheless. The historical evocation of the Battle of Tannenberg is one of the most important and big medieval event in all Europe. 2.000 knights clash together to make the battle between the Teutonic Knights and Polish army in 1410 come alive.

This 4-day event is happening in Poland and has actively participating fans from Germany, Italy (2 autobus in 2000), France, and of course, a lot from Eastern Europe Countries, and even Americans.

To see (not participate) this event, some 80.000 persons each year. The dimensions of this event are also shown in the kitchen: in 2000 some 30 pigs were roasted on fire for a single dinner.

This is a 4-day event but some people arrive there some 2 weeks before.
