Maelstrom

Maelstrom is a new UK fantasy LARP campaign set in a High Fantasy World of colonialism and magic… This campaign is run by Profound Decisions, a professional organizers team that come from previous LARP experiences in UK (like the Gathering). Till now they claim to have 1000 players.

a brief extract…

The campaign features themes of politics and conflict, trade and piracy, belief and heresy. The great political powers, the churches, and the trading houses of the Known World have all attempted to establish outposts in the New World. These political structures will all be controlled by players and the game will revolve around the conflicts that develop between them. Plot is written to make the interaction between all characters as interesting as possible. There will be non-player characters to ally with, or oppose, but the player characters and their groups will be the most powerful entities in the New World…

  • tipical british style (from pen and paper RPG)
• Odds creatures in a very high fantasy environment
  • the representation sometimes is not so good (from the pictures)
• More renaissance and XVII cent. than Medieval (personal preferences)
