Lorien Trust

The Lorien Trust has a long history in the UK, being established shortly after the demise of Treasure Trap (1980s). As one of the older and at one time one of the largest systems in terms of player numbers running annual fest events, many other UK systems are defined against it. The Lorien Trust runs 4 ‘fest’ events every year at Locko Park, Derby. The most well-known is always held near the end of August and is called the Gathering. The system is high fantasy, and based on politics, conflict, and world plot. Within the system are 9 factions and 4 guilds. These groups (and others) run their own (smaller) events throughout the year at a variety of locations that are sanctioned by the Lorien Trust and will affect their game world. These groups operate partially independently and write their own plot. Any experience of the game is likely going to be based on which of these groups you join when you play. Many have their own websites with further information provided.
