The first LARP rules published in Spain was the game “The Killer”, the editorial Barcelona International Joc translated and published in 1991 from the game “Killer: The Game of Assassination”, the U.S. publisher Steve Jackson Games.

The first live roleplaying rules created and published exclusively in Spain was the game “Sword and Sorcery”, published in December 1995 editorial Yggdrasil Jocs Barcelona.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the live roleplaying game was Spain’s largest Irmandiños: a Revolta, held at the Castle of Monterrey (Galicia) from 2006 to 2008 and was organized and funded by the Junta de Galicia .
